Hello, I am Amelia Hart, an award winning Equestrian Photographer from Shropshire.
My passion for photography, combined with my love of horses allows me to create extremely unique and meaningful images. Through my creativity and professional understanding of horses and people, your experience with Something From The Hart is guaranteed to be wonderful and memorable, for both you and your horse.
I have gained a lot of experience through a number of fantastic educational opportunities, including at college and through working alongside some world renowned equestrian photographers. Embracing these opportunities has allowed me to achieve a huge ambition this year, when I was awarded equestrian photographer of the year.
When you book a photo shoot with Something From The Hart, you will receive an unforgettable, luxury, experience. I am extremely passionate about what I do and I ensure that this shows through every aspect of my work.
Something From The Hart was established in 2016, when I combined my passion for horses and photography. Capturing the connection between a horse and their owner is so beautiful and is what I always strive to portray through my images.
Amelia is extremely professional and friendly with every aspect of her business, which gives the most fantastic customer experience. Amelia will go above and beyond to ensure that your every need is met and is guaranteed to provide you with the most captivating images. I very highly recommend.
I have been surrounded by horses for most of my life and riding since the age of 4. I had the most wonderful first pony when I was 9, who I sadly outgrew, so when I turned 12, I got the lovely horse pictured above. Over the years, we have done a lot of Endurance together, which is something both of us love, however more recently, as he is now 20, we are turning a hoof to dressage, something which we are gradually getting to grips with. Along with my lovely horse, I also have his absolute best friend, a connemara pony and a miniature Falabella (who is by far the naughtiest out of the three of them (pictured below)).
When not behind the lens, I spend a huge amount of time with my horses, who all have their own quirky personalities. This provides me with a priceless knowledge, and something I take in to every single photo shoot, which is understanding horses; reading their personalities and therefore creating unique images which perfectly reflect each horse’s individuality and characteristics as well as the relationship with their owner.
What To Expect From Your Photo Shoot
When booking a photo shoot, people often ask what is to be expected. Prior to your shoot, you will receive a photo shoot information pack, which will cover lots of frequently asked questions, as well as help you decide on styling for yourself and your horse.
3-4 days prior to the shoot, I recommend a pre-shoot consultation, whereby you can ask me any unanswered questions you may have and I can find out a little more about you, your horse and any specific requirements you have.
The duration of your photo shoot and what is included will vary, depending on which package you choose (details of which can be found here). I usually arrive 15-20 minutes before the shoot begins, so that i can introduce myself in person and a quick location scout and create a plan for the areas we will use. During your photo shoot, I always ensure that we take regular short breaks, which will help you and your horse relax. I also ensure that we use multiple locations and poses, which will not only provide you with a diverse range of images, but also help to keep your horse occupied throughout the session.
I will arrange a viewing session for 1-2 weeks after your photo shoot, by which time I will have professionally edited each image from your session. At your viewing session you will have the chance to purchase any prints, photo albums, digital files or other products you may wish to have.
If you would like to book a photo shoot or have any questions, please contact me and I will happily help you. We can also arrange a consultation phone call if required.
