Answering your questions

Do you have questions you wish to have answered, prior to booking your photo shoot? If this is the case, you have come to the right place. Below, I have answered a number of frequently asked questions.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the forecast is bad, I am more than happy to reschedule your photo shoot to another day. Weather conditions which would usually cause us to reschedule are: Rain, high wind and hail.

How do I keep my horse alert?

Ensuring your horse’s ears are forward is an art-form! If you have a friend who would be happy to help during the photo shoot, there are various tactics and strategies, that I have perfected over the years, which we can use to keep your horse alert.

When will I get to see my photos?

Your private viewing session will take place 1-2 weeks after your photo shoot. Here, you will see all of your images and have the opportunity to purchase any prints & albums you wish to have.

What Headcollar Should I Use?

A smart, clean headcollar is always recommended, with a neutral coloured lead-rope (navy, black or brown usually work best). A leather headcollar is very effective, however depending on how strong your horse is, you may want to use a leather rope headcollar. This option also looks very smart and will also provide more control. Another option for a strong horse is to use a bridle. Safety is paramount, so anything you feel will provide the most control is ideal.

My horse has a scar or blemish, what can I do to fix this?

If this is one of your concerns, please make me aware on or before arrival. Prior to your photo shoot, do your best to disguise any unwanted blemishes. However, if you are unable to do so, don’t worry, as depending on its position, I may (if you so wish), be able to remove it when editing your images.
